Sustainability

Fridal's headquarters is located in 6th of October city, and it owns farms and factories in various location across Egypt. The company places a high level of importance on the safety and well-being of its personnel, clients, and assets. As this is considered a fundamental aspect for conducting its business successfully. To ensure full compliance with international safety regulations, Fridal had implemented a range of procedures. Its dedication paid off when it was awarded the certifications of OHSAS 18001 and ISO 45001. These allowed Fridal to focus its efforts on managing occupational health and safety with confidence and expertise.

But Fridal's commitment went far beyond safety and regulations. It aspired to be one of the most socially responsible and sustainable companies in all of Egypt. This goal guided all of its decisions, as its employees, brands, and operations worked together to make a tangible difference in the world. Some of Fridal’s farms are located in remote areas where locals of these areas are employed, trained and supported. They received invaluable training in agriculture technology, renewable energy, water treatment, and maintenance activities. This investment in their education and skills empowered the society to benefit from their newfound expertise. Ethical conduct was of utmost importance to Fridal, as it sought to ensure that every employee's actions contributed to the betterment of society. Fridal's commitment goes further, providing comprehensive medical insurance to all of its employees, regardless of their role or location. For those stationed in remote areas, the company provided them with full accommodation and access to social activities and recreational facilities. Taking care of its workforce isn’t just a duty but an opportunity to cultivate a thriving and supportive community.

Recognizing the invaluable perspectives and experiences that women bring, Fridal has embraced gender diversity in its ranks. Although the industrial career path could be challenging for women, Fridal saw their presence as a vital element to their success. Women possess unique qualities that make them energetic and adept at handling multitasking jobs. As a testament to their commitment, over 30% of Fridal's workforce comprised inspiring and talented women, propelling sustainable growth and development within the company.

As part of Fridal's ongoing mission to be socially responsible and more sustainable, Fridal decided to “go green” by installing 38 solar power plants. These innovative installations not only produced water from wells, but also powered most of Fridal’s facilities, reducing carbon footprint and leaving a lasting positive impact on the planet. And so, Fridal's journey has continued, driven by its unwavering commitment to safety, social responsibility, and sustainability. It always aspires to be a beacon of change, sparing no effort in its pursuit of a better future for all.
